How Much Does a Gastric Balloon Cost?

The gastric balloon cost varies depending on several factors, namely the model of gastric balloon you are looking to have placed and the location of said placement. Our prices begin at £4300. We are also pleased to offer a 50% split-finance option with out partner Pay it Monthly to help spread the cost. Our clinics allow weight loss patients to avoid lengthy NHS waiting times, as well as ensure the level of support they will be receiving.

Orbera 365, FDA Approved

The Orbera 365

The Orbera 365 is an FDA approved gastric balloon that can stay in place in the stomach for up to 12 months. It is best to discuss your options with one of our appointed patient advisors, specially trained to help guide patients through all of the procedures available to them.

Our balloons offer an average total body weight loss of 10 – 18%, but this is only an average and many patients achieve better results. For example, Sarah recently lost 23.17% of her TBW with the Orbera 365 12 month gastric balloon.

What’s Included?

All gastric balloon placements with Allure are completed by 1 – 1 dietetic care and 1 – 1 nurse care. Further support in the form of weight counselling is available at an additional cost with Dr Mark Bruce. The dietetic and nurse care is essential to ensuring the support of our patients, so that they have the knowledge and understanding necessary to live and thrive with this temporary weight loss tool. All patients should view the time during placement as their opportunity to make the necessary lifestyle changes for long-term weight loss maintenance and success. The gastric balloon works by occupying 60% of the stomach, delaying gastric emptying, and repressing production of the hunger hormone, ghrelin.

Each member of our team has been carefully selected for their ability to provide high levels of care to patients across the UK. For example, the Allure Nurse, Haley Gilmour, has an extensive history working within the NHS as well as in private settings with bariatric and aesthetic patients. Haley is an extremely knowledgeable individual dedicated to providing personalised, patient-focussed support. Haley is instrumental in the development of our patient care pathway, and is there to help you feel comfortable and supported before and after placement day.

Private Bariatric Surgery in the UK

Gastric balloons are minimally invasive and are not considered bariatric surgery, although it is something that we offer. Bariatric surgeries offer a more permanent option for those looking for longer-term support. The most popular bariatric surgeries we offer include the gastric sleeve and gastric bypass. To understand all your options, don’t hesitate to get in touch with a dedicated patient advisor, highly trained (and very friendly) to provide you with enough information to make a sensible and measured decision in our own time.
