You will need to fast two days prior to your removal and our team will provide you with instructions in advance. This is similar to what you were expected to do at the start of your journey with us. What Happens Once the Balloon is Removed?
Once removed you will be observed for two hours and won’t be able to drive for 24 hours. This is because of the light sedation that is administered to patients in order to keep them comfortable during the procedure. Because we are removing the balloon, no ‘recovery’ diet will be necessary and you should find you are able to resume normal dietary intake when you feel ready. Remember, during your time with Allure you will have had numerous 1-1 dietitian sessions scheduled in order to help you make those necessary long-term changes to the way you approach food.
