Happy New Year!

The team at Allure Weightloss would like to take this opportunity to wish our new, existing and future patients a very happy new year in 2024! 2023 a wonderful year and we are excited to welcome in yet another full of weight loss success for our brilliant clients.

Medical weight loss is generally considered for those that have struggled with obesity for a long time without any real or lasting results by undertaking traditional methods of dieting or weight loss alone. Wherever you are on your weight loss journey, find out if we could help today by getting in touch with a member of the dedicated Allure Weightloss team. Our gastric balloon and surgical programmes are completed by a fantastic aftercare programme of nurse and dietetic care. Weight loss expectations and eligibility criteria vary from procedure to procedure.

What is a Gastric Balloon?

A gastric balloon, also known as an intragastric balloon, or ‘weight loss balloon’ is a temporary weight loss tool designed to support lifestyle habit changes. The balloons we provide can stay in the stomach for 4 and 12 months respectively, and during that time balloons help patients lose weight by reducing feelings of hunger through hormone suppression, a delay in gastric emptying, and by occupying roughly 60% of the stomach. Weight loss patients can expect to lose between 10 – 18% on average depending on the model of balloon that they elect to have placed. We currently offer the Gastric Balloon and Orbera 365.

Weight Loss Surgery

Those looking for a longer-term option for weight loss may be thinking about bariatric surgery, also referred to as weight loss surgery. We utilise the talents and experience of some of the UK’s top consultant surgeons in order to provide state of the art care and services. All patients will be supported with follow-up care that includes a seasoned nurse and dietitian team, as well as scheduled follow-up appointments with your consultant.
