The Allure Weightloss Clinic in Manchester is well-positioned to help people across the North West realise their weight loss goals. Overseen by Bariatric Consultant Surgeon Mr Javed Saltan, the Manchester Clinic is well known for its dedication to patient-focussed care. It’s good to note that all Allure Patients receive an Aftercare Package as standard that includes a Bariatric Nurse and Dietitian to help aid with recovery. Professional Weight Counselling services are also available at an extra cost should you or your consultant believe that such a pathway is necessary.
Patients are admitted on the day of surgery and usually only need to stay for one night before being allowed to go home. From home they will recover with the guidelines outlined by their consultant, nurse, and dietitian. Everyone is different, but typically patients are able to go back to work after two weeks, with a full recovery expected at around 8 weeks. Bariatric surgery, whether sleeve or bypass, can take up to 4 hours to complete but often less.
It is likely patients will be asked to go on a liver reduction diet to prepare for surgery, this is simply so it is easier to access the stomach, making the procedure much safer to perform.
Like all our consultants, Mr Javed Sultan was handpicked for his talent, experience, and high-levels of dedication to the success of his bariatric patients. Working with Allure, Mr Sultan is able to help weight loss patients across the North West and Further afield realise their dreams via medical intervention. You will meet Mr Sultan before you make your final decision on your surgery, meaning you get to know the consultant that will be performing your surgery. With no lengthy waiting times, getting a consultation is as simple as getting in touch with a member of our team.
1 – 1 Aftercare
You’ll be in good hands from the start to the finish of your journey with us. As touched on, our aftercare programme will allow you the peace of mind to ensure you have the knowledge you need to boost all areas of your recovery. Our nurse and dietitian team will work with you to maximise your weight loss results through regular meetings. Dietetic care is important when it comes to helping patients understand what they need to do to eat safely, as bariatric surgery requires you to look at and approach food differently.
